We are busy preparing for the 2016 Fall Season. (September 12th). We are excited to welcome a few new drop off locations this season and a few NEW CSA Members 🙂 If you have not snatched your spot, you only have a little longer. A few of you are counting down the dates until the first Csa delivery, until then you can find Me at the Red Stick Farmers Market. Thursdays, I am set up at Pennington Bio Medical Center (turn off of Perkins Rd on the kenniworth side) From 8-12. Derek attends the Saturday Market at 5th and Main Street from 8-12. This market is Rain or shine. If it rains you can find the vendors inside the parking garage. Conveniently, you can park in the garage also so you don’t have to get out in the rain.
Our Roadside stand is CLOSED for the summer. We hope to reopen in about a month or so when more veggies start coming in. Right now we have Okra, Eggplant, Peppers, and Corn and a few others things are starting to produce.
We have replanted squash (summer and winter varieties) , zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, salad mixes, lettuces, beans/peas, corn, cantaloupe, melons and all the lovely winter veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, etc.
If you are free this Saturday, Red Stick Spice Company is hosting a Supper in 30 Min cooking class. This Saturday 12-1:30 at the New 660 Jefferson Hwy Location. It is a informative “watch, learn, and taste” demo. Anne will show you how to use Luckett Farms Veggies to prepare a 3 course meal in 30 Mins. Anne is cooking Corn & Jalapeno Fritters, Shrimp & Okra, and Spiced Zucchini Cookies! Everything is always Amazing.
