Derek is a third generation farmer. His family has raised cattle for over 50 years! They have, and continue, to be good stewards to the land and animals. We treat our cattle as part of the family.
Our cows are a cross between Brahamer and Angus. This breed of cows thrive in South Louisiana, due to the heat and humidity. The cows are born and raised on the farm. The cows have never left their stress-free lives of roaming the pasture.
The cows are 100% grass fed and grass finished — No antibiotics, GMO, hormones, soy, steroids, or pesticides!
Each cows should yield roughly 350 pounds of meat; however, this will depend on the size of the cow. We use Cutrer’s slaughter house in Kentwood, Louisiana. Our customers will be responsible for pick up and packaging fee (roughly $0.55 per pound). You will be able to customize processing meat prior to pick up.
There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit per cow, but will be applied at the final sale.
The cows are $5.00 per pound hanging weight. This includes bones.
The best thing I can tell you is to get all the cuts of meat they have so you don’t lose meat with bones!!

If you just want hamburger meat we will also have a “hamburger” cow.
